Community Advisory Notice - Precautionary Boil Water Advisory & Water Conservation
Due to the recent water main break, water was completely absent in sections of our system, which can result in a potential risk of contamination. On the recommendation of health officials, a Precautionary Boil Water Advisory will go into effect once water service is restored today.
This only impacts residents who are currently without water. Residents on Tower Road and Burma Road still have water and are not under the boil advisory.
BOIL WATER INSTRUCTIONS (FOR AFFECTED RESIDENTS)
Any water intended for drinking, cooking, making juice/infant formula, brushing teeth, or washing fruits and vegetables must be brought to a rolling boil for at least one full minute before use.
MANDATORY WATER CONSERVATION (FOR ALL RESIDENTS)
Our water tower needs time to refill. All residents on the public water supply must strictly conserve water for the next several days:
Stop all unnecessary water use immediately.
(including lawn watering, car washing, and recreational use).
Do not fill swimming pools. The community water supply does not have the capacity to fill private pools. Anyone filling a pool must use a private water hauler.
When will the advisory be lifted?
This advisory remains in effect until the system is fully pressurized, the water tower is refilled, chlorine levels are correct, and the lab returns two consecutive sets of clean bacterial water samples. We will post an official update as soon as it is lifted
