Be Prepared: Create Your 72-Hour Emergency Kit!

Emergencies can happen unexpectedly, but being prepared can give you peace of mind. We're encouraging every household to put together a "Go Bag" or emergency kit with enough supplies to last for at least 72 hours.

Here's what your kit should include:

  • Water: At least 6 litres per person.

  • Food: Non-perishable food that doesn't require cooking.

  • Health: First-aid kit and a three-day supply of any prescription medicines.

  • Essentials: Flashlight, a wind-up or battery-powered radio, and extra batteries.

  • Money: Some cash in small bills.

  • Documents: Copies of important papers like your driver's license and insurance.

  • Plan: A copy of your family's emergency plan.

  • Pro-Tip: Always keep your car's gas tank full and your cell phone charged!

Remember to check your kit twice a year and replace expired items. Stay safe and prepared!
