From Vision to Action
Building Our Master Plan
Comprehensive Community Plan
What is a Comprehensive Community Plan ?
A Comprehensive Community Plan (commonly shortened to CCP) is a community-driven master roadmap created by the community, for the community. It guides long-term decisions about how we grow, build homes, protect our culture, and care for our people over the next 5 to 10 years.
What does a Comprehensive Community Plan include?
Housing & Infrastructure
New housing subdivisions, home repairs, clean drinking water, and safe roads.
Land Use & Environment
Protecting our traditional territories, lands, and natural resources.
Governance & Community Laws
Clear band policies, community bylaws (Membership & Election Codes), and accountable leadership.
Education, Youth & Elders
Lifelong learning, youth programs, and Elder support.
Jobs & Economy
Band-owned businesses, local hiring, trades training, and Exit 10 development.
Health & Family Well-Being
Clinic expansion, mental wellness, and family care.
Culture & Language
Mi'kmaw language immersion, land-based learning, and cultural grounds.
